Faerie of Wisdom and forgiveness

While strolling in the glen I came upon a faerie that was sitting down with a big book in her lap and she was writing and reading and nodding her head from time to time. Once in awhile she would smile and at other times it seemed that she had a tear in her eye. I was so quiet that she didn't notice me as she was working so hard with her book. It had to be twice the size of her and I wondered how she carried it, but being a faerie I bet she didn't have any problems at all.

I just stood there and looked at this beautiful faerie and she had a wand with a star on the end of it. When she touched the inside of the book with it, a bright light shone and little stars sparkled out and landed inside. I looked over her shoulder and saw that the book was full of names and some had these sparkling stars by them and others didn't.

I moved in front of her so that she would not be afraid because I knew she didn't see me. She looked up and told me that she had sensed my presence long before I stood behind her, so she knew I was there and who I was and therefore not afraid .

I asked her if she would tell me what she was doing with that big book and why at times she smiled and other times she had a tear in her eye. What was the wand doing too, I asked.

"I am the faerie of Wisdom and Forgiveness,"She said.  "I have everyone that has not forgiven someone that they have wronged in this book and I try to use my wisdom and age, for I have been here for many many of your earth years, so I have alot of wisdom that I can share with all of you." "You see," She said. "You humans hurt each other and don't know how to make amends for the wrongs you have done to others." "I try to whisper to these people and help them realize that their lives are way to short to hold a grudge against someone they really love and not share their lives with them." "Many times it is over a foolish thing or a complete misunderstanding. Often times it is from gossip that they have heard from a third party." "These are the saddest, because to believe what someone else says in gossip is wrong and sometimes these people are deliberately hoping to cause trouble and break up a friendship." "Have you ever noticed that the ones that gossip the most are the unhappiest people on earth?" "They are so consumed with unhappiness that they can't seem to want anyone else to be happy either, sothey start false rumors and lie about what one person said about another." "I have a tear in my eye when I realize that no matter how much I try to help them, they will never change." "But then on the other hand , there are those that I am able to reach and make understand that a friend is worth more than anything on this earth. NO money, no accomplishment can replace a true friend." "One that will always be there no matter what happens and no matter what anyone says or does they will stand fast." "These are true friend, that are made of gold and last for your lifetime." "You will meet many friends during your life, but only a few gold ones. "

How wise this faerie was and she explained that when she reached two people and they renewed their friendship, they glowed red in her book and then she touched their names with her wand and the red turned to gold, for then they were friend of gold for life. I listened to her talk and tell me her stories as she touched certain names in that book and others I noticed were a black color and these made her have a tear. Thank goodness that the gold ones outnumbered the black ones. I would hate to see this beautiful faerie full of saddness and cry. When she was done, she lifted her magic wand and waved it over the book and it disappeared. That is how she "carried" her book, I  had to smile.  How lovely she was in her gown on emerald green and trimmed in black, and I noticed that she had a black ribbon around her waist and it had a silver medallion tied to it. I was staring at it and she smiled and told me that it was an intricate endless knotting that hallmarks the artistry of the Celtic Relm--demostrated in the eternity--symbolizing there is no end. This is how freindship should be she said, for it is as precious as diamonds and worth more than pearls.

I thought it was beautiful and I had never seen anything like it before. She told me that many people from her land wore these as rings and many gave them as wedding bands too. How wonderful they would look , I really admired that medallion . She smiled and said that I could buy a ring in almost any jewerly store. I liked hearing that and said that I was going to look for it the first chance I got.

I wished her a good day and I walked back to the house thinking about this faeries wonderful words of wisdom, and thinking if I had hurt anyone unjustly and if I did, I was going to make sure that I made amends, because friendship is to precious to let go.
