FAERIES OF FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT

I took a walk down by the water that is on the other side of the forest and to my delight there were faeries dancing and one of the faeries was sitting on a seashell and playing the flute. How sweet the sounds were coming from that flute and the two faeries were dancing and having a great time. How lovely they all looked just having fun. Inside of the seashell there was a light and I wondered how that could be too.

As I approached the faery that was playing the flute stopped and said hello and the two smaller faeries came closer and stayed by her side. They looked much younger than she was and I wondered who they were.

I introduced myself and asked her what her name was and told her that her music was so beautiful and sweet to the ears.

She smiled at me and said that she was called Symphony because she played her flute for all the special functions that the faeries had and that she taught the younger faeries how to dance and sing. She pointed to the two younger faeries and said that they were her children and that she was just giving them a lesson in dancing and singing.She called to the two girl faeries and asked them to sing while she played her flute.  It was the most wonderful song I have ever heard. Their voices were sweet and clear and blended in to make this small song into a treasure to remember. I smiled and sat down on the grass as they sang one song after another and their mother played the flute . How wonderful to have this job.

The music stopped and the two smaller faeries flew over to me and landed on my outstretched palm and just looked at me and looked. I don't think they had ever seen a human before and my convictions were strengthen when the mother called her children back and told them not to be rude by staring at me.  I assured her that I did not think they were rude and that I didn't mind them looking me over. I certainly enjoyed looking at them.

I asked how the sea shell had that bright light shinning from it and she smiled and said that she had done that with her magic wand. It was a bit dark out and she had tapped the sea shell and it showen a nice soft orange light that enabled her and her daughters to see . How magical and wonderful these small  faeries were. I could stay here forever  and just listen to their songs and watch them dance.

She said that they must be leaving now as it was time for rest and that her children were quite young and needed their rest. She also said that each of them would be trained in playing the flute and the pan pipes so that they too could be the faeries of fun and entertainment in the future when she was too old to do it. and even before as soon as they were ready. 

I thanked all of them for playing and singing and dancing for me . I had enjoyed it very much and I hoped that one day I would see them again. The mother faerie assured me that she would be seeing me again if I came to any of their celebrations. She was in charge of them and would be sure to come and say hello.  I smiled and bid them all a good night as I started to walk back to my home. How had I been so blessed to have these wonderful faeries come to my glen I will never know, but I really loved all of them and hoped they would never go away.
