FAERY OF THE NIGHT LIGHTS

When I was walking in the night down to the water just before you reach the forest, I noticed small bolts of light that looked as if they were coming from the glen and going into the night sky. When they reached the sky, they began to get brighter and brighter and they were moving across the sky  as if looking for a place to stay. Some of them streaked throught the sky and you could see their tails as they went on their way. I smiled, because I knew it had to be a faerie in the glen doing this work.

I walked through the small forest and into the glen and sure enough there she was standing and with her hand outstretched she was sending balls of light out and upward into the night . I approached and she turned and said good evening and we started to talk. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that God made the stars and sometimes the faeries helped him by sending special ones full of magic to answer wishes that people made on them. So, she was in charge of these special globes or stars as we call them and when someone wished upon them, their wishes were brought back to her and if she could with her magic she would fulfill them. She also said that sometimes she didn't fulfill wishes if it would not be in the best interest of the person making the wish. Sometimes people wish for things that would not be good for them and she was careful who and what she did. 

I thought this over and I agreed with her. I can remember wishing for things that now I am glad didn't come true.  You probably can remember doing that too. 

I bid her a good night and waked back toward my home watching her bright white balls shooting into the air and into the sky.  I bet no one knows about her work and that she is in charge of granting their wishes.  I smiled. Now I  knew!!!!!
